SYNOPSIS
In an age rife with digital manipulation and disinformation, the ability to discern truth from deception is critical for a safer cyberspace. As we become increasingly reliant on online spaces for study, work, and leisure, cyber threats such as deepfakes and fake news, fuelled by Artificial Intelligence (AI), abound. These threats have serious consequences for individuals, societies, organisations, and economies. Technological tools, while central to safeguarding data and systems, are not foolproof, and require human intervention at various levels.
This workshop offers a unique perspective by integrating behavioural science with digital defence strategies. Through interactive and engaging activities, participants will learn and discover how behavioural sciences can enhance cybersecurity practices, aiding in the detection and mitigation of cyber threats. Specifically, the session will delve into how cyber psychology, critical thinking, digital literacy, and cyber hygiene can synergize to more effectively counter cyber threats.
