Pre-Event: Sharing on Physical Security "Red Teaming 101"

7 Things You Should Know About Physical Red Teaming

Synopsis

Red teaming is a program to test the effectiveness of the implemented security measures. Through the conducted exercises, gaps can be identified, and appropriate enhancement recommended to address the weaknesses. As the program normally involves unannounced exercises, it is also meant to keep the ground security forces alert as the “attack” can occur any time. The red teaming performance can also be a good security metric to measure the performance of the security and use for management reporting.

Red teaming has been successfully implemented in the military and commercial context. For example, it has been implemented by the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) to enhance the security of the airport. In Singapore, the government has also implemented red teaming at various government agencies. Many commercial entities have also benefited from the implementation of the red teaming program. Recognizing the importance and effectiveness of red teaming, the Singapore Police Force has also included red teaming as a criterion in the annual Security Agencies Grading Exercise since 2018.

Join in this webinar to learn what are the 7 things you should know about red teaming.
