SYNOPSIS

a) Balancing Cybersecurity and Wellness: The Impact of Work-Related Stress and Burnout on Cyber Leaders and Teams

Presenter: Christopher Lek, CISO of NTU and industry icon

The survey of Cyber Leaders revealed a concerning prevalence of work-related stress. The report indicated that 94% of the surveyed Cyber Leaders experienced stress at work, and 65% of them admitted that their work-stress levels hindered their capability to safeguard their organizations. Stress was not limited to the leadership role, as employee burnout has become widespread among security teams. The growing workloads are impacting all members of the department, leading to high turnover rates and hindering the recruitment process. In this talk, the speaker aims to highlight the importance of cyber wellness and emphasize how we should prioritize cybersecurity while balancing the need for wellness for both leaders and the team.

b) Developing a Healthy Cyber Risk Culture

Presenter: Lam Mun Choong, CEO, SelfDrvn Enterprise PL

In today's digital age, cybersecurity threats are constantly evolving, making it essential for organizations to develop a strong cybersecurity risk culture. One effective way to achieve this is through gamification, which involves applying game mechanics to non-game contexts. This can lead to increased employee engagement and a stronger cybersecurity risk culture, ultimately helping organizations protect their valuable digital assets and sensitive information from cyber threats.
