SYNOPSIS

Imagine coming into a CTO/CISO role of a large firm with an IT and cybersecurity environment that simply was not there and did not work. Where do you start? What steps do you take? Sean Dobson, CTO and CISO at Wafra, had this experience and will provide you with some of the things he did to create a world-class cybersecurity program, and IT infrastructure, from scratch.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER


Mr. Sean Dobson

CTO and CISO, Wafra Inc.


Sean Dobson is the Chief Technology Officer and Chief Information Security Officer at Wafra responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of the firm.

Previously, Mr. Dobson was the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Digital Asset Custody Company (DACC), where he designed, built and managed the technology stack for digital asset custodian startup which was eventually sold. Prior to that Mr. Dobson was the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Blue Ridge Capital where he created and managed the security program. He has held other senior infrastructure and security roles in the financial industry.

Mr. Dobson earned a BS in Management of Information Systems (MIS) from Michigan State University and an MS from Stevens Institute of Technology. He holds both the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certifications.
